The inaugural Chicago Ideas Week is shaping up as a nifty string events centered on celebrating today's most foremost thinkers dealing with tomorrow's issues.
From Oct. 10 through 16, there will be speakers as far-flung as Wes Craven and Justice Sandra Day O'Connor to Andrew Mason and Mayor Rahm Emanuel touching on topics relevant to their fields' future. (In addition to making everyone one link closer to Kevin Bacon, he'll also be there to talk about his charity.)
Topics ranging from the future of news, film, food, heroes, hackers, social entrepreneurship, sports, and many others will be touched upon at landmarks like the Chicago History Museum, Park West, the Children's Museum at Navy Pier, or the University of Chicago. A full list of speakers and events is available on CIW's website. Tickets are available here.
It might be back-to-school time for the college kids right now, but come October, it's back-to-school time for our brains. Recognize.
