Go to There: 2012 Small Biz Online Marketing Contest

It's a rough road being an entrepreneur. Sometimes, if you choose to go the isolating route, it can feel like the whole world is betting against your success -- but nothing could be further from the truth.

For the second year in Chicago, Constant Contact is launching the Small Business Online Marketing Contest in partnership with the Chicago City Treasurer's Office.

Prizes of more than $12,000 in cash and prizes are ripe for the plucking to businesses who excel in categories like "best business email marketing," "best overall users of social media," and even being the best gosh-darned rookie.

"Small businesses play a tremendous role in the economic recovery, and we know that they spend a lot of their valuable time on marketing campaigns to make them look fantastic and to achieve great, measurable results," City Treasurer Stephanie D. Neely said in a statement. "This contest is an opportunity to recognize and reward their dedication to excellence in online marketing, and to spread the word about how powerful a successful campaign can be for a small business."
