At least two people were helped down a fire truck's ladder early Wednesday morning as flames shot out of a window of a high-rise apartment.
"I was scared. I was nervous. I was shaking more than I have ever before. It was very high," Sungwon Choi, 14, recalled after he was safely on the ground.
Flames roared out of a 9th floor window of the building, on the 3900 block of Triumvera Drive, at around 12:30 a.m.
Firefighters raised a ladder up to the next-door apartment to rescue those trapped inside. Crews later got the fire under control but the building did sustain some fire and water damage.
No serious injuries were reported.
