Garza to Attend Fundraiser for Family in McHenry

Bears center Roberto Garza is scheduled attend a fundraiser Saturday at McHenry West High School to help a family who lost their home, and their daughter, in a house fire March 8, according to ChicagoBears.com.

The fundraiser will benefit the family of 12-year-old Dayana Garcia, who reportedly died after a fire started in the middle of the night in the living room of her McHenry home.

The event, which begins at 2 p.m. at 4724 West Crystal Lake Road, also includes an Easter egg hunt, silent and live auctions and a fun fair with moonwalks, face painting and games, the website reported.

Donations can also be made to the family at youcaring.com where $2,280 of the projected $20,000 have been raised. The fundraiser expires Sunday.
