A crash in northwest Indiana left a police department's squad car engulfed in flames.
Indiana State Police confirmed to NBC Chicago that the crash happened at Burr Street near Interstate 80-94 on Thursdsay night.
Authorities haven't said what caused the crash or provided information about the condition of the officer who was driving.
The crash was cleaned up by 12:20 a.m. Friday.
The Lake County Sheriff's Department was investigating.
