Person Found Shot to Death in Northwest Indiana Restaurant

Authorities are seeking information on two people who may be connected to a fatal shooting that took place at a restaurant in northwest Indiana early Saturday.

Around 12:07 a.m., officers responded to a call in the 5400 block of West 25th Avenue in Gary, according to police.

They arrived to a restaurant that was open for business at the time to find a male victim with a gunshot wound, officials said.

He had “no signs of life,” according to Gary police, and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Lake County Coroner's Office.

Further details on the victim, including his age and identity, were not immediately available.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide and released surveillance photos of two people who may be involved in the shooting.

The male and female were last seen traveling west on I-80/94 in a black SUV, according to police.
