A gang-related fight broke out at the annual ‘Fiesta del Sol’ festival in the Pilsen neighborhood Saturday evening.
Security personnel working the event said they witnessed a gang fight break out at 1300 W Cermak Road around 8:30 p.m.
Although no injuries were reported, a male offender was taken into custody and charged with a reckless conduct misdemeanor, police said.
Authorities describe the male as a 21-year-old Hispanic.
No further details were immediately available.
'Fiesta del Sol' is known as the largest Latino festival in the Midwest. According to its official site, the annual fundraising event organized by Pilsen Neighbors Community Council lasts a total of four days.
