Former President Bill Clinton Holds Rally in Evanston

Hillary Clinton’s campaign will get a big boost Tuesday as her husband Bill Clinton makes a visit to Evanston just a week ahead of Illinois’ presidential primary.

The former president is expected to draw a large crowd at a “Get Out the Vote” organizing event at Beth Emet Synagogue. He will be encouraging early voting ahead of the March 15 primary.

“President Clinton will lay out what's at stake during this election and why Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who can break down barriers that hold Illinoisans back, deliver results, and continue the progress that we've made under President Obama,” the campaign’s website reads.

The last time Bill Clinton was in Evanston was 10 years ago for an event in Northwestern University.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. in the synagogue’s Social Hall at 1224 Dempster St. and is free to the public. The event begins at 10:30 a.m.

All that’s requested is attendees register online. For more information, visit the event’s website here.
