A former suburban Chicago gymnastics coach facing a retrial on charges he molested young girls has been released from the DuPage County Jail.
The family of 31-year-old Michael Cardamone posted the required $55,000 cash of a $550,000 bond Saturday.
Cardamone had been held without bond since a state appeals court ordered a new trial earlier this year. A DuPage County judge set the bond Friday.
Also Friday, Cardamone pleaded not guilty to charges of perjury and of abusing seven girls, ages 7 to 14, at his family's Aurora gym.
Cardamone is not allowed to have contact with children younger than 18 except family members. He has two sons.
