Officer Fired for In-Squad Sex

Larry Hall was on Flossmoor force for five years

A police officer in south suburban Flossmoor has been terminated after twice having sex with a woman in a police department vehicle.

Larry Hall, 35, a member of the Flossmoor force for five years, was fired in November. Police received a complaint about Hall’s conduct in July 2009.

Information about Hall’s firing and the reason behind it were released Friday in response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the SouthtownStar.

"We did a thorough investigation before terminating the officer. We found the allegations to be true," Flossmoor Police Chief Bill Miller said.

Police said the officer initially lied about the incidents when questioned.

Hall filed a grievance challenging his termination. A hearing was held in April and an administrative judge sided with the police department in July.
