A man’s body was found in a pond on a suburban golf course Thursday, authorities said.
Maintenance workers discovered the body of a 66-year-old man around 7 a.m. at the Coyote Run Golf course in Flossmoor, according to police.
Officers responded to the scene and the body was removed from the pond by a dive team, the Flossmoor Police Department said.
“Based upon preliminary examination there were no signs of obvious trauma observed to the deceased,” the department said in a release.
The body was taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. An identity was not immediately released as the man’s family had not yet been notified, police said.
