Nine Injured When CTA Bus Crashes Into Car

The driver of the car ran a red light, causing the bus to crash into it

Nine people were injured in a crash involving a CTA bus Saturday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood.

At about 7:05 a.m., the driver of a car ran a red light at the corner of Roosevelt Road and Independence Boulevard, which caused a CTA bus to crash into the car, according to Chicago Police news affairs.

Nine people were injured, including the bus driver and three passengers on the bus. They were sent Mount Sinai Hospital, Saint Anthony Hospital John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the car received two citations for failing to stop at a light and for having a suspended license, according to police.
