PHOTOS: Obama Attends Bulls-Cavs Season Opener

President Barack Obama has had a busy afternoon in Chicago, but apparently that didn’t stop him from attending the Bulls' season opener at the United Center Tuesday night.

The presidential motorcade arrived to the United Center, where the Chicago Bulls are playing LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the first game of the season.

“He loves the game of basketball, we all know that and it’s an honor for me to be a part of a venue and just a spectacle where the president would like to come and watch,” James said on the court Tuesday. “It’s an honor for sure.”

With Derrick Rose starting and James coming to Chicago for an Eastern Conference semifinals rematch, Obama's appearance adds even more excitement for fans attending the highly-anticipated game.

“I believe our league is the greatest league we have in the world. We have the greatest athletes, greatest fans and so on and so on,” James said. “For the President of the United States to grace an opening night here in Chicago, I’m just honored and it’s something I can tell my kids a long, long time from now.”
