Fall Out Boy to Headline Wrigley Field Concert

A big-time Chicago-area band will be coming home this summer to headline a concert at the Friendly Confines.

Pop punk group Fall Out Boy will headline a show at Wrigley Field on Saturday, Sept. 8, the band and the Chicago Cubs announced on Friday. The band will be joined by rock band Rise Against and rapper Machine Gun Kelly for the concert.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale Jan. 26 at 10 a.m., according to a press release.

It was also announced that Def Leppard and Journey will play a show at Wrigley Field on July 14, according to LiveNation and the Cubs. Tickets for the show will go on sale Feb. 3.

The Foo Fighters have already announced that they will play a pair of shows at Wrigley Field this summer. The first show on July 29 sold out quickly, so a second show on July 30 was added.

Last summer, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Green Day, and Lady Gaga were among the acts that performed at the Friendly Confines.
