Police: Robber With Facial Tattoos Targets Lone Victims in Loop

A robber with distinct facial tattoos has targeted lone victims in the Loop twice in the last three months, Chicago Police say.

The suspect approaches a victim on the street and demands or forcibly takes their property, according to a community alert from police.

The robberies happened about 5 p.m. July 13 in the 100 block of West Randolph; and about 6:30 p.m. July 31 in the 300 block of South Wabash.

The suspect was described as a black man about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds with black hair and a dark complexion. Police said he has a five-point star tattoo with blue or black ink approximately the size of a dime on the left side of his face; and tattoos between his eyes.
