3 Hurt, Including 2 Firefighters, in Extra-Alarm Logan Square Blaze

An extra-alarm fire in a building on Chicago's Northwest Side left one person in critical condition and sent two firefighters to the hospital Wednesday morning, officials said.

Fire officials said the blaze broke out around 10 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Kimball. Flames were reported on multiple floors of the three-story dwelling. 

One person was critically injured in the fire and two firefighters were hospitalized for heat-related issues. All three were taken to Saint Mary's Hospital. 

Two other people refused treatment, officials said.
