Excise police officers in Indiana cited or arrested nearly 200 people at a diesel truck festival in Terre Haute throughout the weekend.
A total of 199 people — 95 adults, 92 minors and 12 juveniles — were cited and arrested at the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza, according to a spokesperson for the Indiana State Excise Police.
Of the arrests, 67 of them were for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol, police said. Three people were also arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and five were charged with criminal recklessness in a motor vehicle.
The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza took place at Wabash Valley Fairgrounds from Friday to Sunday. Organizers estimated more than 15,000 would attend the three-day event.
