Ex-Teacher Sentenced for Supplying Minors with Booze and Pot

Woman in Ingleside admits she got teens drunk and high

When will these teachers learn?

A 41-year old ex-math teacher at Grant High School in Ingleside paid a pair 14-year-old girls to do some housework around her home last January, Assistant State's Attorney Fred Day told the Daily Herald.

But she gave them more than cleaning supplies and cash.

Kym Krocza, of the 3600 block of Wilson Road, pleaded guilty to liquoring up and offering the teens marijuana during that visit in January of 2009.

Lake County Circuit Judge James Booras charged Krocza with a misdemeanor after she fessed up of supplying the minors with booze and pot.

Judge Booras reduced Krocza's charge from felony to a misdemeanor because the ex-teacher did not have any prior criminal charges, but fined her and ordered her to perform 150 hours of community service.

The ex-math teacher has been banned from teaching while on probation, she is also not allowed around minors.
