Evergreen Park Man Charged With Shooting at Southwest Side Cellphone Store

The shooting happened after two men got into an argument at a cellphone store on the city's Southwest Side

A southwest suburban man has been charged with shooting another man during an argument on the Southwest Side last month, police said.

Anton Davis, 22, was charged with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, police announced early Saturday.

Davis shot a 23-year-old man in the chest during an argument at a cellphpone store on March 27 in the 3200 block of West 87th Street, police said.

The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Davis, of the 3000 block of West 87th Street, is scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday.
