The man was found dead in a backyard with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police

Evanston police are investigating after a 33-year-old man was shot to death in the backyard of a home on Friday evening.

According to authorities, they were called to a residence in the 1800 block of Simpson Street just after 9:30 p.m. Friday for a death investigation.
