Five Arrested in Pair of Evanston Drug Busts

Five people were in custody Friday after authorities executed warrants at two separate addresses, police said.

Officers said they recovered drugs at the pair of locations, one on the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue and the other on the 2000 block of Warren Street.

Three people found at the home on Darrow -- Kaynor Ebanks, 29, Alain Ebanks, 27, and Fritz Murray, 43 -- were arrested, as were two people found at the Warren home -- Fitzroy Barnaby, 19, and Colwin Junior, 23.

Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said officers shot and killed what they said was an aggressive pit bull during one of the raids.

Police did not indicate what type of drugs, or how much, was seized.
