Five energy companies in the Chicago area want ComEd's customers, and more competition could be on the way.

So far, homeowners haven't been quick to switch, though.
Only 807 of ComEd's nearly 3.4 million residential customers changed power providers at last count in September, according to the Chicago Tribune.
