Employee Removed For ‘Inappropriate' Conduct at High School on Chicago's Northwest Side

Steinmetz College Prep's principal hasn't said if the employee in question was a teacher

An employee at Steinmetz College Prep on Chicago's Northwest Side has been removed from the school following an allegation of inappropriate conduct with a student, according to a letter from the school's principal.

In a letter sent to parents and families, Steinmetz Principal Jaime Jaramillo didn't identify the staff member or state wheter the person was a teacher.

An investigation was launched by the Inspector General for Chicago Public Schools, and parents of the student involved in the situation were notified, the letter stated.

In May, another employee at the school was removed for alleged inappropriate behavior, the Sun-Times reported.

The victim involved in that incident wasn't enrolled in CPS at the time.
