Elmhurst authorities are investigating a fire with possible fatalities, the department said in a statement Friday night.
According to the statement, the fire occurred in a home in unincorporated Elmhurst, in the 300 block of Willow Street, Elmhurst spokesperson Kassondra Schref said in an email.
The sheriff’s office said it was investigating a fire “with possible fatalities.”
No further details on the number of victims were available, as the investigation is in its “infancy,” the department said.
No other information was immediately known.
