Wade has had a remarkable NBA career, winning three championships and averaging 22.5 points and 5.5 assists per game in 15 seasons.

After a one-year stint with his hometown Chicago Bulls, Wade signed with the Cavaliers and then was traded to the Heat during a tumultuous 2017-18 season. After considering whether to retire or continue playing, Wade has opted to play one more NBA season with the team that drafted him in the legendary 2003 NBA Draft.

The Heat now have 14 players under contract for the new NBA season.
