Drew Peterson Sells Harley

Bike sold to private buyer after failed eBay auction: report

Drew Peterson has sold his 2007 Harley softail for "a good price" to a private buyer, ABC 7 Chicago is reporting.

He'd previously tried to sell the bike on eBay, but the Internet auctioneer briefly pulled it from their listings,  labeling the "murderabilia" too offensive for them to peddle, said Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky.

The defense team was later able to get the motorcycle reposted.

"We pointed out to eBay that the man has not been convicted of anything and we're still in America, where you're innocent until proven guilty," Brodsky said over the weekend.

The Kelly blue book value of the 2007 softail is just $11,000 to $18,000.  Peterson had asked the Internet auction site to start the bidding at $50,000.

Peterson is currently being held in the Joliet Correctional Center on first-degree murder charges in connection with the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.  The former Bolingbrook police sergeant has pleaded not guilty.

His fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, disappeared in October 2007.  He has not been charged, but authorities say he is considered the only suspect.
