Police are searching for suspects in a pair of brazen overnight robberies in a Chicago suburb.
Mount Prospect police released videos and photos of a pair of suspects that are believed to have committed robberies at two different homes.
According to police, a house in the 800 block of Heritage Drive was robbed in the overnight hours of Dec. 19. During the theft, the robbers entered the home through an unlocked window and stole multiple purses and various credit cards.
Police say that the homeowners were in the residence at the time of the burglary, and were asleep upstairs.
In the 1700 block of Regency Court, thieves opened an unlocked car door and stole multiple power tools from a vehicle. They then entered a residence and stole a purse and credit cards. The homeowners in this robbery were asleep upstairs as well.
Neighbors contacted police after the thefts and provided surveillance footage that showed a pair of suspects. One man was seen wearing a knit hat, a light-colored jacket, and dark pants. Another man seen in a second video was described as wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.

Surveillance footage also showed the thieves walking around the neighborhood looking for open windows and doors in other homes.

Police in Mount Prospect are urging residents to lock their doors and windows, and to lock the doors of their vehicles.
