Downed Power Lines Create Traffic Backups Near Bishop Ford

A car crash that downed power lines in Chicago's south side Hegewisch neighborhood on Friday morning was causing big problems for commuters.

Traffic was backed up on East 130th Street, east of the Bishop Ford Freeway because of road closures associated with the downed power lines.

The inbound Bishop Ford near 130th also had big delays.

South Torence Avenue is an alternate to the Bishop Ford Freeway.
