Divvy to Celebrate 5th Anniversary With Big Party

Chicago’s iconic Divvy bike-sharing service will celebrate its fifth birthday on Sunday with a big party at Maggie Daley Park.

The service, which launched in 2013, has helped Chicago-area residents and visitors take over 15 million trips since its inception, and over one million people have ridden Divvy bikes since its debut.

The event, which requires a free ticket that you can get on the Divvy website, will feature a live DJ, lawn games, and an award ceremony that will honor bikers who have taken the most trips, among other interesting categories.

The first 500 attendees at the event will receive a free Divvy tote bag.

The celebration won’t stop with the party either. According to Divvy, members will receive five days of freebies in the first week of July to celebrate the milestone anniversary.

The shindig kicks off at noon.
