Less than an hour after tickets went on sale for comedian Dave Chappelle's 12-show run in Chicago, tickets were completely sold out.
The shows are scheduled from Dec. 1 to Dec. 6 at Thalia Hall in Pilsen, located at 1807 S. Allport St. There will be two shows every night, one at 7 p.m. and one at 10:30 p.m.
Tickets for the shows went on sale Saturday at 12 p.m., and Thalia Hall's website appeared to crash shortly thereafter. Orders were limited to two tickets apiece, and a representative for Ticketmaster confirmed at 1 p.m. that all tickets were sold out.
Chappelle's Chicago visit comes after the launch of his U.S. tour, which took him across the country for a series of shows in September and October. After taking a hiatus from comedy, Chappelle returned to the stage last year and took part in a 10-day residency at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
