Danville to Welcome First Air Show in Over 30 Years

The Danville area is set to see its first air show for the first time more than three decades. 

The Vermilion Regional Air Expo is set for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the airport, the (Champaign) News-Gazette reports. There will be live air shows from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days and live entertainment. 

Mike Potter, the manager of Vermilion Regional Airport, says it will be a family-friendly event. 

The performers will include the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team.

There will also be helicopter rides and a kids' play area.

Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer says he's excited to welcome the high-caliber show.
