Danny Trevathan's Suspension Reduced by NFL

Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan had his suspension reduced to one game by the NFL on Tuesday afternoon.

Trevathan, who was suspended for two games after his hit on wide receiver Davante Adams during the Bears’ Week 4 loss to the Green Bay Packers, will miss the team’s next game against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night.

On the play, Trevathan hit Adams with the crown of his helmet, earning a 15-yard penalty and sending the receiver crumbling to the ground. Adams was taken off the field on a stretcher and was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated for a concussion, as well as potential head and neck injuries.
