Friday Marked Final Two-Hour Preseason Cubs Ticket Sale

Friday's two-hour preseason window to buy single-game tickets to Cubs games was the team's last, but that didn't stop fans from lining up.

The Cubs announced last month they would be ending one of the most popular annual traditions among ticket-buying fans in the city.

Officials said issues involved with the planned Wrigley renovation project as well as increased use by fans of online purchasing led to the decision.

Friday's event was scheduled for 8 a.m. at the Wrigley Field ticket office. As in past years, online and phone sales began as soon as the two-hour window expires.
