Cubs Players Have Snowball Fight in Wrigley Field

What does a snow day mean for the Chicago Cubs? A snowball fight inside Wrigley Field it appears.

The team and players posted photos on social media showing them enjoying the winter weather at the park just hours before their scheduled home opener was postponed to Tuesday.

But no frowns could be seen on the field. Several players appeared to be all smiles as they played in the snow, taking selfies and playing pranks on each other in true Cubs fashion.

The Chicago Cubs' season kick-off in Chicago will have to wait an extra day after the team postponed the game due to wintry weather across the area Monday.

The home opener was moved to Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. CT "due to the forecast for inclement weather throughout the day," the team said. Tickets from Monday's game will be honored Tuesday, according to the Cubs.

The Chicago Cubs were set to kick off their home schedule on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but just hours before the first pitch, Wrigley Field looked like a winter wonderland.

Snow was projected to taper off by the initial 1:20 p.m. start time, but intermittent snow or rain showers were possible.
