New Video Shows How Kris Bryant Celebrated World Series Title

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant won the National League MVP award on Thursday night, and while he could reasonably be expected to take some time off, a new video shows what he’s actually been up to since the end of the season.

The ad, released by Red Bull, shows Bryant at Wrigley Field shortly after the Cubs won the World Series. Instead of lounging in the bleachers or kicking back with a cold beverage in the gorgeous Wrigley clubhouse, Bryant instead hit the weight room and the batting cages to work on his fitness.

Titled "Cubs Fans Celebrate While NL MVP Kris Bryant Gets Back to Work," the video shows exactly that.

"What I think Kris Bryant's doing today - I have no idea," one fan in Wrigleyville said. "Probably celebrating somewhere. Still having a good time, probably signing autographs, lotta interviews."

"He's out partying with his friends, his family and with Chicago," another adds in a voice-over as viewers see Bryant stride into the Cubs locker room.

"As far as I'm concerned, he can do whatever he wants," yet another fan says as we see Bryant hit the weights. "He can party as much as he wants to."

As it turns out, that doesn't appear to be what he wants, as he then takes the field for batting practice and even hits a symbolic green apple.

Bryant’s commitment to working resulted in an incredible regular season, where he slugged 39 home runs and knocked in 102 RBI as the Cubs posted the best record in Major League Baseball and clinched their first National League Central title in nearly a decade. Bryant’s remarkable season continued into October, as he racked up clutch hits and led the team to their first World Series title in over a century. [[390992151, C]]

Thanks to his MVP award, Bryant became just the fourth player in MLB history to win the Rookie of the Year and MVP trophies in consecutive seasons, and became the 15th player to win those two trophies and a World Series title in his career.
