What You Need to Know About the Chicago Cubs' Grant Park Rally

NOTE: NBC Chicago will offer a live stream with complete parade coverage beginning at 9 a.m. Friday right here.

As if the Cubs World Series Victory Parade wasn’t enough, a rally in Grant Park at Lower Hutchinson Field will continue the festivities around noon, officials announced Thursday.

The rally for the victorious Cubs is free of charge and open to the public. All attendees have to pass through a security screen process at entrances at Michigan Avenue, Jackson Boulevard and Congress Parkway.

Closed water bottles will be allowed in the rally and food will sold on site.

The north parking garage at Soldier Field will reduce its rate to $15 (from $22) for up at 8 hours on Friday, according to a separate news release. The garage will open at 6am.

Soldier Field’s north garage is accessible from Lake Shore Drive (going Northbound) or Columbus Avenue (Southbound) at McFetridge Drive on the North end of the stadium.

Officials are encouraging fans to use public transportation.
