Cubs Fans Will Soon Be Refunded for Postseason Ticket Deposit

Chicago Cubs fans who weren’t able to purchase tickets to the team’s playoff games will soon be getting their money back.

According to an email sent by the team to fans on Wednesday, fans should get their refundable deposit put back into their bank accounts and onto their credit cards within the next two weeks.

Starting this year, the Cubs began to charge fans a $50 deposit to get into the drawing to purchase tickets to home playoff games at Wrigley Field. Fans who weren’t selected, or who opted not to buy tickets, had the fee refunded, and those who were able to purchase seats were able to put the money toward their tickets.

The Cubs ended up playing five total home games at Wrigley Field before they were eliminated from the postseason by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
