Cubs Celebrate World Series Anniversary With Awesome Video

It’s cold and drizzly outside, but on Thursday, Chicagoans celebrated an anniversary that made many of them feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

That anniversary is the one-year anniversary of the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series in a thrilling 8-7 triumph over the Cleveland Indians. The win broke a 108-year championship drought for the team, and fulfilled a lifetime of hopes and dreams for countless millions of fans.

To celebrate the occasion, the Cubs released this video highlighting the team’s key moments on their journey to a championship:

Whether it’s Kris Bryant’s throw to first base to clinch the title, or David Ross’ grand slam, or Jake Arrieta slamming the door on the Indians twice in the series, there are plenty of moments that will last forever in the minds of Cubs fans, and it’s an appropriate day to reminisce on a day that many fans never thought would arrive.

The Cubs will hope to recapture that feeling next season when they look to win their second title in three years.
