Anthony Rizzo Ejected From Cubs Game vs. Giants

Rizzo was ejected after the top of the fifth inning for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo was ejected from Wednesday's game against the San Francisco Giants after arguing balls and strikes at home plate.

Rizzo was batting in the top of the fifth inning when he appeared to take issue with a strike call from home plate umpire Jordan Baker. After he struck out to end the inning, Rizzo appeared to talk to Baker again, and was immediately ejected from the contest.

After Rizzo learned he had been tossed, first base umpire Marvin Hudson stepped between him and Baker, with Cubs manager Joe Maddon coming onto the field to help calm down his angry superstar.

Victor Caratini came into the game to play first base for the Cubs.
