Driving to a Chicago Cubs game is about to get a bit easier.
Team officials announced free 1,000-space remote parking lot at 3900 N. Rockwell St., two miles west of the ballpark and just south of Irving Park Road.
Free shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the stadium for night and weekend games.
The new lot is designed to ease vehicle traffic and cut down on the number of cars near Wrigley Field.
It replaces the team's previous paid remote parking lot at DeVry University which had less available spaces.
The new lot is part of a concession the Cubs made in order to secure additional night games this season, and as part of the $500 million Wrigley Field renovation project.
