Woman, 70, Kidnapped at Gunpoint from Driveway

Kidnappers got ATM, credit cards from woman and went shopping, police say

UPDATE: Suspects Identified, Arrest Warrants Issued

Police on Wednesday afternoon released surveillance video of the men they say kidnapped a 70-year-old woman from her driveway, robbed her and then used her credit cards to go shopping earlier this week.

The ordeal started outside the woman's Frankfort Square home on Monday night when police said a man with a gun approached the woman and forced her into his car while another man drove off in hers.

The kidnappers then drove around to ATMs in surrounding suburbs and withdrew cash from the woman's bank account. One of those stops was inside a gas station in Country Club Hills.

"There was no car parked here. He came running through the parking lot and came in the store. That's what we see in the video," said store clerk Bratnesh Patel.

Authorities said the men left the woman near the gas station and dumped her car on a nearby entrance ramp to Interstate 57. Later, investigators said the men went shopping with their victim's credit card at a Walmart store. Surveillance cameras at that store recorded the men police say attacked the woman.

The woman was seen at her home on Chestnut Court on Wednesday but declined to comment on the case.

Anyone with information on the identities of the men in the images or who has information on the crime should contact the Will County Sheriff's Department.
