11 Injured After Car Hits Group on Hayride in Suburban Kendall County

Eleven people were injured, three critically, after a car crashed into a group of people on a hayride Saturday evening in west suburban Kendall County, police said.

The crash happened at around 5:30 p.m. on River Road between Blackhawk Road and Fox River drive, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Multiple victims were unconscious when first responders first arrived, fire officials said.

Two people riding in the car were treated on the scene, while the victims who sustained serious injuries were passengers on the hayride. No kids were injured in the incident, police said.

People in the area told NBC 5 that it isn't uncommon for hayrides to be on the road.

Police haven't released any information about a possible cause of the crash.
