A crash closed the westbound lanes of I-80 in the south suburbs during Monday’s morning commute.
The crash, which involved two cars and a semi, happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 at La Grange Road about 6 a.m., according to Illinois State Police.
All westbound lanes remained closed until about 8:30 a.m. Traffic was being diverted off the expressway at Harlem.
Police said at least one person was critically injured in the crash, but additional details were not immediately available. A medical helicopter was at the scene.
