Maria Escobedo wants answers after a video, she says, showing her 16-year-old son--who has autism--being slapped was posted on social media.
“It’s very terrible for me,” she said.
Escobdeo says the video shows a student slap her son in the face at his southwest side high school last week.
In Spanish Escobdeo told NBC 5, "In the video I see the child say to my son, get up, stand up, and he pushed him towards the wall.”
Escobedo says another student recorded the video on Friday at Kelly High School and posted it to social media.
But it does not show what happened right before the slap.
In Spanish, Escobedo says “as a mother it makes me feel bad, it makes my blood boil.”

“My son is a special kid,” she said.
Escobedo says her son has been abused at school because of his special needs.
Chicago Public Schools officials say their staff have been reviewing what happened.
“(CPS) works to foster safe learning environments in all district schools, and the district does not tolerate bullying or harassment in any form," the district said in a statement. "The conduct in this video is unacceptable, and school staff are addressing the incident in accordance with district policies."
Chicago police officials have confirmed that detectives have opened an investigation into the incident.
“I need help in the future for my kid for my whole family because this is terrible," Escobedo said.
