At least one suspect was shot and an officer injured when police responded Thursday to a report of a robbery at a Country Club Hills ATM, police said.
Officers received a call of two males dragging a man into a Bank of America ATM area in the 4200 block of West 167th Street, Officer Bill Brown said. Responding officers arrived at the location and saw a white vehicle with dark tinted windows trying to leave the parking lot, he said. The officers ordered the driver to stop but it sped up, striking one officer while the other opened fire on the vehicle and struck the driver with gunfire, Brown said.
