Nearly a dozen squad cars with their lights flashing pulled up in front of a south suburban funeral home Wednesday night after a man was shot.
Officers were moving in and out of the building near 83rd Street and Harlem Avenue about 9 p.m. in Bridgeview. The man who was shot suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, authorities said. He is in his 20s, they said.
A reporter on scene could see civilians—including children—inside the funeral home as police investigated the scene.
Police are asking if anyone has information about the shooting, they should contact the Bridgeview Police Department not he non-emergency number at 708-458-2131.
They have no information on the alleged shooter, police said.
