Cops Shut Down Murder-For-Hire Plot

A Chicago man was taken into custody after soliciting an undercover officer in a murder-for-hire plot

A Chicago man was charged on Thursday in a murder-for-hire plot after he solicited a murder from a cop.

Jaroslaw Kozak, originally from Poland, approached an undercover officer in the Gang Enforcement Unit and solicited a murder, Chicago Police said.

Kozak, 41, of the 3200 block of North Newland Avenue, gave the undercover officer a handwritten note with the victim's name and address on it.  He then came to a price agreement with the officer.

Kozak was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court Friday.
