Cops Bust West Side Pot Dealer

Investigation uncovers pot, paraphernalia and cash

Chicago police have found a stash of narcotics in a West Side garage and have arrested a 31-year-old man thought to be responsible for manufacturing and distributing marijuana.

Acting on a tip, police set up a surveillance that led them to the garage and the alleged dealer, Jeremy Peterson, of the 2400 block of West Madison Avenue.

Peterson unknowingly led investigators to the garage, where they uncovered 74 pounds of cannibis.

Police secured a warrant to seach Peterson's home. There they found $6,250 in cash, nearly an additional pound of pot and other drug paraphernalia.

Peterson is scheduled to appear in bond court today.
