Confirmed: DMB Caravan Headed to Far South Side

Music festival to take place at Southworks

Not enough summer music festivals for you? Another monstrous event is headed to Chicago.

Jam Productions and Ticketmaster/Live Nation announced Thursday that the Dave Matthews Band Caravan is coming to the Far South Side on July 8-10.

The "three-day multi-stage artist festival" will take place at Southworks, the former United States Steel Corporation location on the lakefront at East 87th Street.

The Dave Matthews Band will headline all three nights, but according to Time Out Chicago, the rest of the bill includes David Gray, Ray LaMontagne, Kid Cudi, O.A.R., The Flaming Lips, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Amos Lee, Emmylou Harris, Ben Folds, G. Love & Special Sauce, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Gomez, Drive-By Truckers, Michael Franti & Spearhead, the Jayhawks, Soja, Soulive, the Wailers, Blind Pilot, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, TR3, Vieux Farka Toure, Alberta Cross, Mariachi El Bronx, Bobby Long, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Jeff Coffin's Mu'tet and Gary Clark Jr.

Three-day passes cost $195 and will go on sale April 15 at www.dmbcaravan.com.

It will be the second stop for The Dave Matthews Band Caravan, which will kick off in Atlantic City on June 24-26.
