Nearly 77,000 customers across northern Illinois are without power as strong thunderstorms make their way through the area, and ComEd crews are working to restore electricity.
According to the utility company's website, nearly 18,000 customers are without power in Kankakee County, and just over 11,000 customers are in the dark in Will County.
In a press release, the company said that over 200 crews are currently working to restore electricity, and over 45,000 customers have had their power turned back on, the company says.
